Resonating with patriotism and pride, Ridge School commemorated India’s 80th Independence Day in a spirited celebration held on the school premises. The programme commenced with the ceremonial unfurling of the National Flag by Mr. Gopinath Guduri, CEO, followed by a stirring rendition of the National Anthem that suffused the campus with reverence and unity. The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of Co-CEO Ms. Sowmya Gopinath, along with Dean P. K. Rajendran and Principal Ms. Rajkamal Mathews.
Following the flag hoisting, students presented a scintillating medley of songs, dances and speeches, paying homage to the indomitable spirit of our freedom fighters and celebrating the resurgence of a vibrant India, each performance eloquently embodying the ideals of liberty, unity and civic responsibility.
The CEO then addressed the gathering, paying tribute to the countless patriots who secured our nation’s sovereignty, exhorting students to regard freedom not as an entitlement but as a sacred trust, upheld through discipline and selfless service, and calling upon them to become torchbearers of India’s progress through unity, compassion and perseverance.
The celebration culminated in a solemn pledge to uphold constitutional ideals and build a stronger, inclusive India, leaving the school community inspired to carry forward the true spirit of independence.
