Special Assembly to Honour Munshi Premchand’s Birth Anniversary

Ridge School conducted a Special Assembly on 31st August to celebrate the birth anniversary of Munshi Premchand, one of the most renowned writers in Hindi and Urdu literature.

The assembly began with a speech highlighting Munshi Premchand’s life, his contribution to Indian literature, and the social issues he portrayed through his writings. Students presented a thought-provoking skit based on his famous story “Idgah”, reflecting values like love, sacrifice, and empathy.

The assembly also featured a reading of selected excerpts from his works and a poetry recitation inspired by themes from his stories.

The Principal addressed the gathering and encouraged students to read Munshi Premchand’s writings to understand the social fabric and values of India.

The event was a meaningful tribute to the legendary author and helped students appreciate the richness of Indian literature.
